“There's a striking commitment to local art in this historic Grade II listed building, centrally located in Bristol. The reimagined interiors and imaginative dining options offer a modern counterpoint to the building's old bones. Still, it's worth noting that some accommodations miss the mark, and breakfast costs add up quickly.”

Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The Grand Bristol By Sunday is often described as having a high-end feel with a vibrant atmosphere; many guests appreciate its central location near St Nicholas Market. Spacious and comfortable rooms are a common highlight, and some include luxurious touches like towelling robes. A number of guests have mentioned that noise from Christmas parties or the street can be an issue due to thin windows; on the other hand, breakfast is frequently praised for its generous selection, including a pancake machine.

Decent stay, some minor issues

convenient locationfriendly staffclean hotelsmall roomno fridgenoisy environment
The location was very convenient. The staff were friendly. The hotel was also very clean, which I appreciated. We stayed in a Standard Double Room.
The room was quite small. There was no fridge, which would have been useful. The noise at night was a problem. Doors banging and sounds from other rooms disrupted my sleep.

Central Stay with a Nespresso Perk

convenient locationparking facilitiesnespresso machinebasic choice
I found the location very convenient. There were parking facilities adjacent to the hotel. I also appreciated the nespresso machine available in the room. The room had all the basic amenities I needed.
I found only basic tea and coffee in the room. I had expected more options for the price I paid. I also didn't see hot chocolate, biscuits, or bottled water in the room.
Dining
8/10
The breakfast offered a decent selection, yet it felt somewhat limited. I noticed a lack of yogurt and only a small variety of fruits were available, though the available bread selection was appropriate for my needs.
Location
9/10
The location was a primary reason for my choice. It was located in an excellent spot. I found some nice cafes and vintage shops right next door. This accessibility made exploring the area quite simple!
Facilities
8/10
The room provided two shampoos, a detail I noticed. I wish there was shower wash as well. I also found only three hangers available, a bit sparse for accommodating two people .
Service
9/10
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. It felt purposeful. The staff was particularly kind. I found this helpful , especially with navigating local amenities.
